Kids don't notice these things...

So this is our Christmas tree this year.  I refused to cary a real one up to the second floor of our building.  It also seems kinda pointless if you aren't cutting it down yourself, or at least going out to a tree farm and buying a tree.

Heading out to the parking lot of XYZ store and buying a tree does not get me in the Christmas spirit.  So we have this little fake tree that Kendle did up real nice.  See?

So I'm looking over the tree and all the ornaments.  Some of them are my old ones, and some of them are ones from her family.  Like...the pickle.  Apparently you hide the pickle on the tree and whoever finds it has good luck?  Must be some crazy german thing....us polish people just hide money on the tree.  The one who finds it is rich.

Anyways so I look a little closer and find this one:

Yep, thats for mixing up drinks.  And my thought process is "this thing will be on our tree forever, and our kids will fight over who gets to put up the shiny bottle, and they wont get WHAT it actually is until they are old enough to get into a bar...and then they will think back and say 'Mom's an alcoholic'"

Oh and since it's Christmas...snow at hunka.net!  Enjoy!

They won't need to fight over who gets to put the "shiny bottle" up...there's a shiny martini glass on the tree that goes with it that you missed too :)
